Hello. A few days ago I was updating my Smashwords interview. One of the questions was to describe your writing process. The reason I was updating the question was because my writing process has changed. Five months ago Basco came into our lives. He is a Boxer mix puppy and he is now seven months old. Basco Came into our lives during a sad time. Our 13 year old, Shar-Pei was dying. Our hearts were broken. Her name was Trouble. After Trouble passed, our other dog Athenia who is nine years old went into a depression, she wouldn't eat, she was getting sick and all she wanted to do was lay on the floor with her head turned away and if you tried to get close to her, she would growl. Then Basco came into our lives, wormed his way into our hearts and healed the wound. Now we are whole again.

Writing with Basco is fun. I usually have to stop and take frequent breaks to play catch. Basco loves to play catch with a ball, and he will throw the ball. Other time when he thinks that I am not paying enough attention to him, he will jump up, put his paws up on me and I have to take a break, but I don't mind. Then there are the times when he tries to edit my work. I get up go to the kitchen for a drink and when I come back I discover that he has jumped up and put his paws on the keyboard and I have letters like, ZZZZZZZ written across the page. Maybe he's trying to tell me something? I should probably list him as the co author of my books. Check out the picks of Basco below.

Just a quick update

I thought I would give everyone a quick update and go into a little more detail about what's going on with my writing. I have a couple of novels and a short story collection that were published by small presses. The contracts ran out and the rights of these three novels have reverted to me. I am in the process of self publishing them and they will soon be available again in eBook format as well as in print. The first one, Thunder Road is now available to purchase as a pre order. Coming with in the next couple of weeks is the sequel to Thunder Road entitled In The Wind. This is bran new never been published. I am doing some of the final editing right now. This is book number two in the Mike McDonald Action Adventure Saga.  I am writing book three in this series right now and I have book four ready to go.

I am also bringing back The Tale Spinner, which is now out of print and Monroe's Paranormal Investigations.  I also have the rough draft finished of The Battle For Planet Earth and it will be coming out soon as well.  For the people who have read or want to read any of my books I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing the. I Am Back

Hello folks. It's been a while. I quit writing for a while but now I am back at it. Since my last post I have retired, took a couple of cross country motorcycle trips and I have been enjoying life. I rode to Alabama from California with the club in 2017 and then we rode down to New Orleans. Last year I rode back to Alabama with a couple of buddies and then headed up to New Hampshire to see my grand kid. As far as my writing goes I am finishing up some old projects and starting some new ones. I will soon be publishing several

For those of you who know me, or have read some of my books, blogs or short stories, you know by now that I like riding my motorcycle.  Sometimes, when it’s just me and the road, usually a long curvy one in the mountains, I’ll get to a place where I am one with the machine; I am in the zone.  The bike is purring like a kitten and I’m leaning into the curves with the throttle cranked and my face in the wind.  Right then, I am one hundred percent in the present moment.  There are no thoughts of the future or past running though my brain, there are now worries or troubles on my mind; it is just me and the machine.

It is the same way with my writing sometimes.  Sometimes when I am writing and the voices inside my head are talking, I drop into a zone where the words are coming so fast, the scenes are so action packed and the story seems so real, that, it almost is.  Right now my biker fiction novel, Thunder Road is out and just received a five star review.  You can still get Monroe’s Paranormal Investigations at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.  Otherworld Publications is going out of business, so I had to find a new publisher.  Hydra Publications will reedit and rerelease it sometime next year.  My Cave Man action adventure stories will soon be in one volume, titled Tales From The Lost Highway.  I am working on a sequel to Thunder Road, titled In The Wind.  I have a couple of science fiction novels and a haunted house novel that I have yet to publish, so I’ve got a lot going on and a lot on the back burner.  I would like to invite everyone to friends me on facebook, follow me on twitter and sing up on my blog page.  Shoot me an email if you want at davidhdonaghe@yahoo.com

Hello.  I would like to talk about two things that are dear to my heart: reading, and riding motorcycles.  In other words, Biker Fiction.  Biker fiction is a little known genre where the story revolves around people, riding motorcycles.  It is usually a cross genre, it could be romance, action adventure, thriller or any number of genres, but the central theme is motorcycles.  The Easy Rider magazine has published Biker Fiction for years.  Wild Child Publishing publishes Biker Heaven and Black Rose Writing just released my Biker Fiction novel, Thunder Road.

Thunder Road is the exciting tale of, Mike McDonald, a Persian Gulf War vet, whom after waking up from a coma, goes on the warpath against the outlaw motorcycle club that brutally killed his wife and left him for dead.  The final confrontation takes place at a cabin at the end of a lonely mountain road, known as Thunder Road.

Teachers often tell new writers to write what they know.  I have mixed feelings about this.  I believe you should write about what ever you want.  If you don’t know anything about a subject, and you want to write about it, there are three things I have to say: research, research, research.  That’s what the internet is for.  It just so happens that I have a passion for motorcycles.  For the past ten years, I have immersed myself in the biker culture, but I also like other things.  I read science fiction, action, thrillers, horror, Westerns, you name it.  If it’s a good story, I’m going along for the ride.  My writing is a mixture of these things.  My science fiction novel, Tale Spinner is available on Amazon.com, along with my short story collection, Monroe’s Paranormal Investigations and my new release, Thunder Road.
